Penilaian Pelaksanaan Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran Kurikulum Pendidikan Islam Bahagian Pendidikan Islam (JAIS) Di Sekolah-Sekolah Rendah Agama Negeri Selangor

The Arabic Language had begun its expansion in the Malay Peninsula since the 13th and 14th century (Syed Naguib 1984, Zainal Abidin Kadir, 1990). Nevertheless, the development of the teaching of Arabic Language went through a drastic growth in tandem with the expansion of Islamic education during the era of Islamic revival in the 1970’s. Henceforth, Arabic Language was being introduced in the National Education System (Hasan Basri Awang Mat Dahan 2003:165). Generally, the key players in the development of Arabic Language are none others than pondok institutions and religious schools. However, during the developmental period of school system, Government-funded Religious Schools or Sekolah-sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK) played an important role in spreading the Arabic Language in Selangor. The teaching of Arabic Language has expanded over 40 years where hundreds of thousands of students have completed their study through the education system of SABK . Conversely, the system faces several tribulations, for example its success rate in achieving the outlined objectives. Thus, the research aims to assess the implementation of the teaching and learning of Arabic Language of Sijil Menengah Agama (SMA) which uses Al Azhar curriculum. The objectives of the research are to identify students’ perception towards Arabic Language in SABK and to investigate the teaching methods that are commonly used by the teachers. It is hoped that the research findings could shed some lights in enhancing the effectiveness of the teaching and learning of Al Azhar curriculum Arabic Language in SABK.
Kajian Tahap Profesionalisme Guru Agama Di Sekolah Rendah Agama Kelolaan Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor

Teacher’s professionalism is very important in order to produce knowledgeable pupils with good moral conduct. The success of education relies primarily on how teachers apply knowledge, skills, methods, approaches and et cetera during the teaching and learning process, and how they attempt to empower themselves to achieve professional level. The purpose of this article is to examine teachers’ profile and the level of professional practices among teachers in religious primary school. Religious domain was constructed to measure the level of religious professionalism among them. This is a descriptive study. The sample of the study was 350 religious teachers from selected districts. They are teaching in the Religious Primary Schools which are managed by the Islamic Religion Department of Selangor. Teachers’ profiling showed that there are teachers who lack of training and professional guidance. It also showed that some teachers take for granted the practice of some religious aspects in their life. It is suggested that the authority should play their role in order to upgrade the quality of these teachers.
Peranan Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor Dalam Pembangunan Insan Di Negeri Selangor

This research aimed to evaluate the role of KUIS and its contributions to human development in the Selangor State. Education is one of the strategies in the realization of human development program. The process of human capital development ought to begin with the strengthening of religious foundation which then followed by the process of knowledge enquiry. As a matter of fact this will enable the realization of good human capital whom is sturdy in terms of faith, belief and practice. Therefore, the experience gained by students during their study in KUIS especially in terms of its curriculum, study system and employers’ perception are crucial in evaluating the role of KUIS in this context. Research instrument used is questionnaire which is divided into three categories which are Akademi Islam Alumni survey, KUIS survey and employer survey. To test the validity and credibility of the questionnaire, a pilot test was conducted on 30 KUIS Alumni members and five employers. The initial level of the survey involved264 Akademi Islam Alumni whom graduated between 2004 to 2010 and 20 employers in Selangor State. The data was analyzed using the SPSS program and the research findings were divided into two sections which are the Alumni and employers findings. Alumni research findings were further divided into three sections which comprises of study experience, the effectiveness of the study system and suggestions as well as perception by alumni who is working.Meanwhile, findings for employers centered on employers’ evaluation towards the quality of KUIS alumni.
Peranan Persatuan Ibu Bapa Dan Guru (PIBG) Dan Keberkesanannya Dalam Sistem Pendidikan Islam Sekolah Rendah Agama (SRA) Dan Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi (SRAI) Di Selangor

In general, one of the important and acknowledged components in the national education system is Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). It reflects the important role of PTA in the development of education system by means of cooperation between school administration that is responsible in the official school affairs and PTA as the representative council of teachers and parents who are also the client. The same practice can also be seen in the Islamic education system in Religious Primary Schools (RPS) and Integrated Religious Primary Schools (IRPS). The questions that arise are does PTA contribute significantly and to what extent is its effectiveness in the education system of RPS and IRPS in Selangor? In general, the research showed that PTA plays an important role in the education system mainly at the primary level especially where it helps increase the quality of teaching and learning service, infrastructure development, academic excellence and students’ morality. Therefore, the effectiveness of PTA is made possible by the cooperation of all parties namely parents, school administration and management, and the State Religious Department (JAIS) as well as State Government. Hence, the paper will be covering some of the roles and effectiveness of PTA in the Islamic education scope based on the target groups by discussing few related issues.
Pengurusan SAR / KAFA Persendirian Di Negeri Selangor : Suatu Analisis Keperluan

This brief article aimed to discuss the problems related to the administrative implementation of SAR/KAFA and to look upon the priority of its needs in sustaining its future growth. The research methodology used was semi-structured interview with headmasters and teachers in selected schools. A total of ten schools were selected representing various predetermined characteristics in order to provide an overview of their variety in Selangor. An early work has shown that the administration of private SAR/KAFA is being run informally according to individual planning without the presence of coordination and supervision by the state level. They are different in terms ownership power, curriculum planning and reward status for teachers. The condition may result negative impact on the future direction of students specifically when they are going into the secondary school level. Meanwhile, when it comes to teachers, the turnover rate is very high due to poor wages which is below the poverty line. Hence, the needs of every school differ from one to another. These conditions would pose problems to the state government in ensuring Islamic education objectives run in tandem with the government requirement. The researcher suggested that there is a need for the institutions to be centralized and coordinated by the state government but it is done in a minimal and systematic manner. It is worthy for the state government to establish a category of State-Funded Religious Primary School using systematic School Management Board for community that has high effort level. Meanwhile, a Non Profit Organization (NGO) should be initiated by the state government or local community in helping the development of Islamic education in Selangor especially in areas where the members of the society plays an active role in the system.
Kajian Perkembangan Sosioekonomi-Psikologi Pelajar Melayu Di Felda Negeri Selangor

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between self concept and coping strategy on student’s perception towards Islamic teaching values. This study predicted that those who have high score on self esteem and good coping strategy will tend to perceived Islamic moral values as important and applied Islam in their daily life. This preliminary study involved 60 students (age between 14-17 years) from several schools in the Felda settlement. The results of this study revealed that majority of students have low self esteem and less coping strategy. Their perception and understanding towards Islamic teaching also low. Those students from Islamic background family significantly better in coping style. Age and gender of have no significant effect on the variables measured. The implication of this study on perception towards Islamic teaching values also discussed.
Kepuasan Kerja Guru-Guru Agama Sekolah Rendah Agama Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS)

This research aims to find out the level of job satisfaction among teachers of Sekolah rendah Agama Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS). The main focus is to examine the correlation between teachers’ demography and job satisfication based on job conditions, salary and monetory support, chances or cereer advancement,managements, and assessment, other responsibilities beside teaching, colleagues, improvement, career chances and infrastructure. A total of 363 respondens have been chosen randomly from three mains districts in Selangor; Sepang, Hulu Selangor and Klang district. The data collected were processed collectively using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 13. The statistical techniques used were percentage count, crosstabulation, mean and median to answer the selected research questions on job satisfication. Generally, many researches had been embarked with the main focus on ob satisfication particularly relating to organizational commitment, burnout and a few similar variables. The research outcome has shown that most SRA teachers have a stisfactory job satisfication level in all construct examined. On the whole, this type of research is essential as an indicator to the level of 185 job satisfication of each individual for a satisfied worker or teacher will give a more productive performance and commitment to the job required. The outcome of this research is hope to assist in upgrading and improving professionalism and the affectiveness of teaching among teachers in fulfilling their main responsibility in school.
Penilaian Pelaksanaan Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Sijil Menengah Agama (SMA) Di Sekolah – Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK) Di Negeri Selangor

The development of Arabic language has expanded in the Malay Peninsular since the 13th – 14th century (Syed Naguib 1984, Zainal Abidin Kadir 1990). Conversely, the development of teaching and learning Arabic language has pragmatically experienced a very extreme development in tandem with the development of Islamic education from the era of Islamic revival in the 1970. Since its inception, Arabic language was introduced in the National Education System (Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan 2003: 165). Above and beyond, most of the boarding schools and religious institutions had played an important role in moulding and developing the Arabic language in general. In the paradigm of school coordination, the government funded religious schools (Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan; SABK) are partially pivotal institution in the dissemination 220 of the Arabic language in Selangor. The teaching of the Arabic language has established significantly since 40 years ago in which majority of the students graduated through the educational system of SABK. However, this system has experienced several tribulations to achieve the objectives outlined. Thus, this research looked on the assessment of the implementation of teaching and learning Arabic language for Sijil Menengah Agama (SMA) using Al-Azhar curriculum of government funded religious schools in Selangor. The main objective of this study was to identify students’ perceptions regarding SABK Arabic classes and also the teaching methods used by the respective teachers. Therefore, it is hoped that this research will enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning Arabic language based on al-Azhar curriculum for SABK.
Tahap Pengurusan Institusi Tahfiz Persendirian Di Negeri Selangor

Tahfiz education of al-Quran advance rapidly in Malaysia due to society request and awareness of the society regarding importance to read or study Holh al-Quran. Also development tahfiz institute in Selangor spread widely without total observation of the outhority. Approximately 150 private tahfiz institute that were formed in state of Selangor. While only 107 private tahfiz institute registered with Institute Tahfiz Al-Quran Selangor. While only 24 registered with JAIS. Majority of these tahfiz institute approach, objective direction and also different management system and coordination with theauthority.Therefore research in the institute tahfiz problem is a really need to identify problem and to get suggestion to resolve the problem. The research need in order to ensure the problem can be identify and resolved also forward to the authority to resolve the problem. This research that are using qualitative methodology by means of interview is the best instrument. Research instrument involve nine of principals or manager represent nine school in 9 district. We choosen with random sampling.
